Alongside its long path of levels, PaneSlide has a daily puzzle: one new window every day, the same for everyone who plays that date. It takes a few minutes, it never asks for an account, and it is a calm way to start (or end) a day.

When a new puzzle arrives
A new daily appears at midnight on your device's clock. PaneSlide uses your local date, so in India it changes at midnight IST, and in London at midnight UK time. Each date always produces the same puzzle, which is why friends can compare results.
Each daily is numbered from the first PaneSlide daily, so you can tell at a glance which one a friend is talking about.
A gentle week
Dailies get a little harder through the week, so Monday is a warm-up and the weekend is the big one:
| Day | Board | Usual par |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 4×4 | 4 |
| Tuesday | 4×4 | 5 |
| Wednesday | 5×5 | 5 |
| Thursday | 5×5 | 6 |
| Friday | 5×5 | 6 |
| Saturday and Sunday | 5×5 | 7 |
Friday and weekend puzzles are also checked to make sure that "just move the obvious pane" doesn't work. The quickest-looking first swipe is not the right one, so you have to plan.
From 30 October 2026, every daily follows the same rules as the levels: glide, stick, and match the picture, with undo always available. (Dailies from before that date keep the older drag rules they were first played with, so archive results stay comparable.) Each one is checked by a solver to have only one answer, and par is the proven minimum. Daily puzzles have no hints, so everyone plays on equal terms.
Streaks
Solve the daily on consecutive days to build a streak 🔥. Your current streak, your best streak and the number of dailies you have played are in Stats. Stats also shows how your solves are spread out: in par, par + 1, par + 2, or more.
A streak counts days you solved, not how well you did. Any solve keeps it going. If you miss a day, the streak starts again from 1 the next time you solve. Your best streak is kept forever.
The first daily solve of each date also earns 5 shards.
Sharing without spoilers
When you finish, the Share button copies a short result:
- the daily number and a ⭐ if you solved in par;
- your moves and par;
- a row of coloured squares, one for each swipe, in the colour of the pane you moved;
- your streak, if it's more than one day;
- the link to the game.
The coloured row shows how many swipes you made and which colours, but not which pane went where. That's enough for friends to compare, without giving the answer away. On a phone, Share opens your phone's share sheet. On a computer, it copies the text so you can paste it anywhere.
The archive: replay past days
Missed a day? The archive has a calendar of every daily since the first one. Tap any past date to play it. Future dates are locked, so nobody can play ahead.
Archive puzzles are practice. They don't change your streak, your daily stats or your shards, so playing old puzzles can never hurt or inflate your record. Your result for that date is saved, and solved days get a ✔ on the calendar.
Making it a habit
Daily puzzles work best as a small, regular thing:
- Pick a time. With your morning tea, on the commute, or before bed.
- Keep it short. If one is hard, put the phone down and come back later. The puzzle doesn't change until midnight.
- Don't chase perfection every day. Three stars come at par + 1. Perfect is a bonus.
- Play with someone. Send your result to a friend or family group. It's a small, friendly reason to say hello every day.
Privacy
Your daily results, streak and settings are stored only on your device, in your browser's local storage. There is no account and nothing about your play is sent to us. If you want to move your progress to another phone, use Progress code in Settings. See the privacy policy for details.
Solving each day's puzzle also earns shards. See shards, gifts and the Shop.
